Extraordinary activities in Jaipur:
Exploring the secret Rooms of the City Palace in Jaipur
Of course, among the best attractions in Jaipur is the City Palace, but not everyone has access to the exclusive secret rooms that are hidden. Even today, the royal families live in this complex. It consists of lovely places, which are designed in an old Rajasthani style. The guided tour starts at a secured gate. After you have gone through, you will be overwhelmed by green gardens. You will also be guided through the Sabha Niwas, the “dining room” where the Maharaja and his guests dine together on occasions. About many statues and general antiques, it goes to the pompous 2nd floor. Expect the Sukh Niwas, an open room, coloured blue with white lines. Next comes Rang Mandir, a room with mirrors on the wall, followed by the fabulous Shoba Nivas. Also, the walls are decorated with mirrors there, but gold ornaments have been added here. At the top of the City Palace is the Rajputana flag. The best part here is the view of what you have explored.
An adventure with elephants at Dera Amer
About 20 minutes from the city centre is the beautiful Dera Amer Camp. There you have the fascinating opportunity to interact with elephants; feed, bath and ride one or have a meal together. You start the meeting with the elephant. You may feed this gentle giant with some bananas to make the first contact. Then you bathe the elephant with the help of the staff and guides. Anyone on-site will be happy to answer any questions you might have about them. You will now get a chance to paint the elephant with natural colours that are gentle on the skin. Afterwards, you can go riding on the same elephant. The elephant rides are led around the camp in the original Aravali woods and follow a route that leads through huts, agricultural fields, hills and ancient monuments. The birdlife in the dense forests is thriving, and leopards inhabit the jungle, as well as hyenas and wolves, were spotted by the guests, antelopes and jackals are in abundance. Upon request, you can eat with an elephant; this is a unique experience for elephant lovers, you can enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner together. The food is homemade and comes from the organic farm. Of course, every part is changeable.
Fly over the city with a Hot Air Balloon
A truly extraordinary and fantastic experience is the city of Jaipur with a Hot Air Balloon Drive at Skywaltz. It is the perfect way to see the sites and structures of the “pink city”. You will undoubtedly be fascinated when the balloon slowly flies over the area of the spectacular Amber Fort. Absorb the unique colours and tones and blend in with the historical fortresses & hidden palaces below the Aravali range. Gather a privileged view of the traditional Rajasthani villages and the smiles of the friendly locals staring at you. A drive takes about 60 minutes and is undertaken by experienced pilots.
