This Classical Rajasthan Tour Package will show you the typical country, with its oases, deserts, forests and big cities. You will explore and experience the most popular places in Rajasthan. Starting in the capital of India, you continue to the “pink” city of Jaipur. Over the amazing cities in the Thar desert: Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, to the romantic oasis Udaipur, the holy town of Pushkar and the forest-rich Ranthambore with two tiger safaris. In the end, you´ll discover the Taj Mahal in Agra. The camel ride into the sunset in Jaisalmer is also an enjoyable experience.

Day 1

Arrival in Delhi

After you have been picked up by your private chauffeur with the car, check in at the Claridges. Built in 1952, this accommodation is one of the oldest in New Delhi. A perfect fusion of elegance and contemporary luxury is in proximity to Delhi’s bustling commercial and cultural centres. You have the rest of the day at leisure, as well as the chauffeur at disposal.

Day 2

Delhi

After having breakfast, your driver will pick you up and take you to the private tour of Old & New Delhi. Among the programme are trendy spots, such as the Red Fortress, the Akshardham Temple, the Indian Government District, the Qutb Minar Tower, the Humayun Tomb and the Lotus Bahai Temple. The most impressive today is the rickshaw ride through the famous Chandni-Chowk market. Of course, you decide which sights you do not want or want to integrate.

Day 3

Drive to Jaipur

This morning you drive to Jaipur, the “pink” city. The Prince of Wales planned a visit to Jaipur in 1853; Maharaja Sawai Ram Singh wanted to welcome the prince and ordered that the city should be coloured pink. After a slightly longer drive, you will reach the relaxing Samode Haveli.

Day 4

Jaipur

Today you will visit the enchanting Jaipur. After you have been picked up, you start directly with the highlight today: the Amber Fortress. You will climb these on elephant back. Other sightseeing spots include the Hawa Mahal, the Albert Hall, the City Palace and the Sheesh Mahal Mirror Palace, where only a candle light is enough to make the whole room sparkle.

Day 5

Drive to Bikaner

After breakfast, you leave the hotel and drive to Bikaner. The main attraction is the Junagarh fortress. During the Drive, you will see many camels, women in their colourful saris and many waterholes. Just before the city, you reach the famous rat temple (Karni Mata Temple) with over 17,800 rats and mice. Arrived in Bikaner, the Laxmi Niwas Palace will be your accommodation. This hotel was built in 1903 in Indo-Saracen style with red sandstone.

Day 6

Drive to Jaisalmer

Your chauffeur will pick you up as usual and take you to Jaisalmer, the “golden” city. But before you leave, you can still see the Junagarh fortress. After a 6 hour drive, you arrive in Jaisalmer and check in at the hotel Suryagarh. This hotel offers a beautiful view of the desert.

Day 7

Jaisalmer

In the morning you will be taken on the sightseeing tour. There you see the Jaisalmer fortress, many Havelis (palatial designed houses) such as Patwaon-Ki-Haveli, Nathmalji-Ki-Haveli or Salim Singh-Ki Haveli, the Gadisar Lake and some Jain temples. At the coronation, there is a camel ride into the sunset.

Day 8

Drive to Jodhpur

Today you drive to Jodhpur, the “blue” city. You reside in the fabulous Jodhpur Raas, which offers a fantastic view of the Meherangarh Fortress. You can enjoy this view with a nice dinner.

Day 9

Drive to Udaipur (VIA. RANAKPUR)

In the morning you start with the sightseeing of Jodhpur. You will see the Mahamandir Temple, the Mandore Garden, the Jaswant Tada, the Kehjarla Fortress and the Meherangarh Fortress. One of the best spots is the Umaid Bhawan Palace. Then drive to Udaipur, the “Venice of the East”. But before that, you stop in Ranakpur; there you can see the famous temple group from the 15th century. Check in at the beautiful Hotel Trident.

Day 10

Udaipur

The romantic Udaipur… You will visit it today with the Sahelion-ki-Bari, the Monsoon Palace, the City Palace on the shores of Lake Pichola and Bharatiya Lok Kala Mandal. In the afternoon, a beautiful boat trip awaits you on the picturesque lake.

Day 11

Drive to Pushkar

After you have eaten something, head north to the holy city of Pushkar. Pushkar is Sanskrit and means something like “Blue Lotus Flower”. The town is best known for its temples and the Pushkar Lake (The Hindu faith created by the tears of the god Shiva). You reside at the Greenhouse Resort.

Day 12

Drive to Ranthambore

You are picked up today and driven to Ranthambore. The National park is one of the most popular tiger shelters in India, covering an area of 282 km² and home to about 60-75 Tigers. Arrived there you will be taken to the beautiful Taj Lodge.

Day 13

Ranthambore (Tiger Safaris)

At around 6 AM your private jeep safari with our best guide and naturalist starts. There are not only tigers but also black bucks, monkeys, leopards, birds, wild boars and more than 48 other animals. After the safari, you can start with breakfast. If you wish, you can visit the Ranthambore fortress and the Ganesh (elephant god) temple at noon. Now you have time to relax. In the evening another safari.

Day 14

Drive to Agra (VIA.FATEHPUR SIKRI)

The Taj Mahal is one of India’s most popular attractions and one of the seven wonders of the world, found in Agra. After breakfast, you will drive to Agra, with a stopover. The great mogul Shah Jahan had the masterpiece built in 1631 for his deceased wife, Mumtaz. Shortly before Agra, you make the stopover in the former mogul capital of Akbar. Your Hotel Taj Gateway offers a beautiful view of the Taj Mahal. In the evening, you can visit the Mehtab Bagh Garden and enjoy the sunset.

Day 15

Drive back to Delhi & Departure

Early in the morning, you will do the sightseeing tour of Agra. At sunrise you will be at the Taj Mahal, so you can fully enjoy it in the orange-yellow light. You will also see the Red Fortress, the Itimad-ud-Daula Mausoleum, the Mina Masjid and the private mosque of Jahan. After the tour, drive back to Delhi. There you will reach the hotel Holiday Inn Aero City. Later, you will be driven to the airport.
