On this wonderful Rajasthan trip, you will experience the magical highlights of the country, with its best aspects. In Delhi, the adventure starts with large monuments, such as the Friday Mosque Jama Masjid or India Gate. It will take you to the most popular building in India, the Taj Mahal, in Agra. Then drive on to Ranthambore with its natural surroundings, the perfect place for tiger safaris. Enjoy the pure relaxation and lean back. Later, head to Jaipur. The fascinating city offers beautiful attractions, such as the elephant ride up to the Amber fortress. The fantastic hotel will surely impress you with its charming style. On the 8th day of the trip, head to Jodhpur. The “Blue City” forms an oasis in the Thar Desert with the large fort towering over her. Later, it will take you via. the popular temples in Ranakpur to Udaipur, the “Venice of the East”: let the picturesque surroundings pamper yourself. Day 1

Arrival in Delhi

You will be picked up by your private chauffeur at the airport and brought to the renowned Trident Gurgaon. A beautiful place where you can smell the fresh grass, hear the birds twittering and just pause for pleasure. It welcomes you in its attractive splendour and style, as well as the influences of Moroccan, Mughal and Rajasthani architecture. However, if you would like to upgrade, we offer the colonial-style Imperial. The rest of the day you have the chauffeur and car at disposal.

Day 2

Delhi

After a leisurely breakfast, you will visit the old and new city. You can see the Friday Mosque Jama Masjid, the Red Fortress, the Indian Government District, the Gandhi Tomb, the Lotus Bahai Temple, the India Gate and the Qutub Minar Tower. The highlight today: the Rickshaw drive through the famous Chandni-Chowk market. Of course, you decide the sightseeing program.

Day 3

Drive to Agra

The Taj Mahal is the most popular attraction in India, this highlight can be found in the city of Agra. Today you head there. In the 17th century, the wife of the great mogul Jahan deceased. In mourning, he commissioned 20,000 workers to build the marble Tomb. On arrival, you will arrive at Trident Agra, but if you want to have an incredible view of the Taj Mahal, we offer the fabulous Oberoi Amarvilas as an upgrade. After a short break, you will visit Agra, where you will see of course the Taj Mahal, the Red Fortress, Sikandra, the Itimad-ud-Daula Mausoleum (also “Baby Taj”), the Mina Masjid and the Moti Masjid. In the evening you can visit the highlight once again at sunset.

Day 4

Drive to Ranthambore (via. Fatehpur Sikri)

Today you continue to Ranthambore. The National Park is one of the first Project Tiger reserves with about 65 tigers and over 45 other animal species. After 1 hour you have reached the former Mughal capital of Akbar and make a small tour, afterwards continue your drive. You check in at the beautiful Khem Villas; this pleasant hotel is set in the jungle. Sometimes you can spot deer close to your tent. Spacious luxury cottages are designed to make you feel like kings. Soft fabrics and exquisite wooden furniture make the stay wonderful.

Day 5

Ranthambore (Wildlife Safaris)

At 6 o’clock in the morning, the private jeep safari with our best guides is on. There are not only tigers but also many other animals, including wild boar, deer, hyenas, monkeys, peacocks, birds, crocodiles, snakes, jackals and much more. After the safari is over, you can have breakfast. If you wish, you can visit the Elephant God (Ganesha) temple located on the famous Ranthambore Fortress. In the evening you have another safari.

Day 6

Drive to Jaipur

Your chauffeur will pick you up as usual and take you to Jaipur, the “pink” city. In 1853, the Prince of Wales planned a visit to Jaipur. When the Maharaja heard of that, he wanted to welcome the prince and had everything painted pink. You will reside in the luxurious Sujan Raj Mahal Palace. The Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II designed this former palace for his wife more than 249 years ago, the elegant style of living of the Maharaja still lives today. If you prefer an upgrade, you can classify in the beautiful Oberoi Rajvilas or the fairytale-like Taj Rambagh Palace.

Day 7

Jaipur

Jaipur is also a fascinating highlight of Rajasthan, characterised by its masterful structures. Immediately you´ll start with the probably best today: an elephant ride up to the Amber fortress, while the elephants are beautifully painted in a traditional way. Other attractions include the observatory Jantar Mantar, the City Palace, the Monkey Temple, the Jaigarh Fort, the Hawa Mahal, the Albert Hall and the Ganesh Pol. Enjoy the rest of the day in Jaipur. If you would like to discover the city further, you can also go shopping at the market.

Day 8

Drive to Jodhpur

After breakfast, head to the “blue” city, Jodhpur, which builds an oasis in the middle of the desert Thar with its huge fortress towering over the city. Marvel on the drive at men with their colourful turbans, women in their saris with water jugs on their heads and cows & camels to transport food and other things! The overwhelming Jodhpur Raas will be your hotel. As an upgrade, we´d recommend the incredible Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace, which is crowned by the Tripadvisor Awards as the “Best Hotel in the World 2016”.

Day 9

Drive to Udaipur (VIA. RANAKPUR)

In the morning you´ll start with the sightseeing of Jodhpur. You can see the Mahamandir Temple, Mandore Garden, Jaswant Tada, Kehjarla Fortress and Meherangarh Fortress. Next, drive to Udaipur, the “Venice of the East”. Stopover at Ranakpur to see the popular 15th-century temple group, after a walk the drive continues. The hotel of yours will be the Trident. There are two really beautiful upgrades, either the Oberoi Udaivilas: according to the readers of the Travel + Leisure magazine it was also crowned the best hotel in the world or the breathtaking Taj Lake Palace, it stands in the middle of the Pichola Lake and therefore you can reach it only by a 20 minute boat ride, getting out of the boat, being gently showered with rose petals and greeted with a refreshing drink.

Day 10

Udaipur

Today you can look forward to the sightseeing. You´ll see the Vintage Car Museum, the City Palace on the shores of the lake, the Monsoon Palace, the Sahelion-ki-Bari and Bharatiya Lok Kala Mandal. In the afternoon, take a fabulous boat trip on the Pichola.

Day 11

Flight to Mumbai

On this day you will fly in the early morning to Mumbai (formerly Bombay), a pompous port city. Upon arrival, you will check in at the Trident Nariman Point. Later a short orientation tour of the city: Marine Drive, past the “Towers of Silence”, the Parses up to Malabar Hill with the Kamala Nehru Park, the Hanging Gardens, the Gateway of India and the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus. Visit to the Mahatma Gandhi House where the “Father of the Indian Nation” spent some years. If you depart on Day 12, you can do the sightseeing also on the other day.

Day 12

Departure

This is the last day of the trip, you have to say goodbye to Rajasthan and are driven to the airport.
